Mission

Redesign the website to create a more consistent, easier-to-use and more conversion-focused experience across desktop and mobile. The main goal was to simplify the overall structure, reduce friction within the user journey and make the content easier to consume for potential applicants.

Target Group

The platform primarily addresses care professionals and young talents from Germany in fields such as nursing, therapy, education and social work who are interested in gaining international work experience in the USA. Apex Social also speaks to parents, partners and institutions, but the main focus of the redesign was the applicant journey.

Challenges

The existing website contained a broad range of content, many subpages and different visual patterns across the user journey. Navigation and page structure had grown over time, which made the experience harder to scan, less consistent and more complex than necessary. At the same time, the platform needed to communicate trust, support, international opportunity and program benefits in a clear and approachable way. This complexity is also visible in Apex Social’s wide content offering, including program details, advice formats, community features, parents’ information, partner pages and application-related touchpoints.

Strategy

The redesign focused on streamlining the structure, reducing visual and navigational complexity and creating a more unified experience across all major touchpoints. I reworked the interface with a stronger hierarchy, simplified the menu, aligned the design language across sections and improved the overall user journey from first visit to key actions such as applying, booking an info call or requesting the brochure. The concepts were developed responsively for both desktop and mobile.

Tasks

  • Redesign of the website interface for desktop and mobile

  • Simplification of the sitemap and page structure

  • Streamlining of the main navigation and menu logic

  • Harmonization of visual patterns across subpages

  • Improvement of the overall user journey and content flow

  • Prioritization of key conversion points such as application, info calls and brochure requests

  • Responsive design refinement for a more consistent cross-device experience

Impact

The result was a more focused and user-friendly website that made Apex Social’s offering easier to understand and navigate. By reducing complexity, unifying the design and clarifying the structure, the platform became more accessible, more consistent and better aligned with the needs of prospective applicants. The redesign created a stronger foundation for trust, orientation and conversion throughout the journey. The uploaded concepts clearly show the simplified navigation, stronger CTA hierarchy and more consistent section design across breakpoints.
