baind AG
Complex building data turned into an intuitive UI for daily operations.
Client
baind is a German software company focused on AI-optimized building operations. The platform helps centralize technical building data, monitor systems, manage energy consumption and support AI-based control.
Industry
PropTech / Building Automation / AI Software
Mission
Analyze the existing interface, review the overall structure and redesign the product experience for a more intuitive and scalable use across desktop, tablet and mobile. The goal was to make complex technical information easier to understand, navigate and operate in day-to-day building management.
Users
The software is primarily used by people responsible for technical operations in larger properties and facilities. This includes building technicians, facility managers, maintenance teams and operational staff who need a fast and reliable overview of systems, rooms, data points and performance.
Challenges
The platform combines a wide range of technical functions, including building data, energy management, room and facility monitoring, automatic alarming and AI-supported control. This made it essential to reduce visual complexity, improve structure and create interfaces that support quick decisions in operational environments.
Strategy
The project started with a screening of the existing interface and information structure. Based on these findings, the product was redesigned with a stronger focus on usability, hierarchy and consistency. A modular UI approach helped create a scalable design language across dashboards and devices while improving clarity for users working with complex building systems.
Tasks
Analysis of the existing interface and UX structure
Redesign of the software UI and dashboard experience
Design of responsive views for desktop, tablet and mobile
Simplification of navigation and information architecture
Development of a clearer visual system for complex data
Support in building a scalable design system including colors and components
Ongoing project alignment and design coordination
Impact
The redesign created a cleaner and more structured interface that made the platform easier to understand and use in daily operations. It strengthened the foundation for scalable product development and helped translate complex technical workflows into a more accessible digital experience. Public business KPIs were not available, but the product itself is positioned around more efficient building operations, centralized monitoring and energy optimization.
